The SentiWiki content is divided into five different sections, all of them related to the Copernicus world: the Copernicus Programme, the Sentinel Missions, the Copernicus Expansion Missions, the Copernicus Operations and a final General Information section.
The Copernicus Programme section provides an overview of the purpose, history and applications of the Copernicus Programme, since its origin.
The Sentinel Missions content provides, for every Copernicus Sentinel Mission, a detailed insight of the following topics:
Mission description: containing the observation scenario, instruments description etc. For users that want to get familiarised with the missions the chapter of interest are Mission description, Applications and the Product formats in the Product chapter.
Applications: description of the application e.g. forestation, ocean etc and which are the products to be used for each application. This information is equivalent to the User Guides, useful for beginner users.
Products: description of the products and the algorithms. This information is equivalent to the Technical Guides, useful for expert users.
Processing: this section describes in details the processing alogorithms, permitting to generate the high-quality image products from the raw data. The detailed information available in this section is focused upon users such as academics and industrial software engineers who have previous experience of similar EO missions and in-depth experience of data manipulation and management.
The Copernicus Expansion Missions section provides an overview of the future Copernicus missions, inheriting the Copernicus Sentinels characteristics while reaching the state-of-art from the technological point of view.
The Copernicus Operations section is meant to give some insights on the main services permitting the Sentinels missions explitation, such as the Precise Orbit Determination and the Mission Performance Cluster.
The General Information section collects the fetaures and the operational concepts common to all Sentinel Missions, such as the Documentation Library and the SAFE format. This part is for more experienced users.
